'A person who says money can't buy happiness doesn't know where to shop'

After a pretty horrendous week, I decided I was in desperate need of a bit of retail therapy with friends and took to West Quay with my two friends to raid the shops.
Due to not having that much money, I had to refrain from stepping foot in Zara and stuck to Primark, and the shops I still had vouchers for that I got for Christmas. Me and Primark often have a love/hate relationship, sometimes I go in to find nothing at all that I wanted, and other times I can find everything. Thank god it was a 'find everything' day and I ended up a few pieces that could carry me through the next few months and into the beginning of spring.

A few months ago I went looking for an old red coat that I hadn't worn in a few years but kept as I knew one day I would wear it, only to discover my mum had given it away to the charity shop. After 10 minutes of begging her to go to the shop and buy it back, she informed me it was given months ago so wouldn't be in there still. Needless to say I threw a slight strop for the rest of the day. So ever since then I have been looking for a new replacement and have had my eye on the boyfriend style coats. I had a Topshop voucher from Christmas so thought I'd have a look to see if they had any coats in the sale, not expecting them to have anything I liked or if they did it would probably not be in my size. I felt like crying when I found a perfect red boyfriend coat in a size 8 in the sale for just £35!
Seriously thanking my lucky stars for finding this.

Last but never least was my ONLY beauty purchase of the day. I have spent so long trying to find the perfect bronzer, and not having a Nars counter anywhere near me, I have been too scared to order one online incase the colour isn't right. It was basically local news in Southampton that John Lewis had opened an extremely large Mac section in the beauty department and I have been pining after everything since that day. With some Christmas money I made the decision to invest in a nice bronzer rather than a cheap one due to my awful student budget. This Mac Bronzing Powder in the colour Golden is the perfect colour for my skin tone and can be built up to make it look like I've just got off the plane from 2 weeks in St Lucia! Not only this but it has a slight pink undertone like my own skin, so it's perfect for many of us in Britain who have that type of skin.
