Christmas Presents - The Beauty Gifts

Christmas is over for another year, and like most of you I am pretty devasted it is over. Christmas has to be my favourite time of year and if only it happened a few times a year, I would be a very happy girl. I did however, have an amazing Christmas and was spoilt rotten by all my lovely family and boyfriend. In the next week I plan to do a post on all the clothes/shoes I received this year as an overall fashion and outfit post, but this post is going to be about the beauty goodies I was given.

For years I have been after some of these Muji make up draws. Being a massive Kardashian fan, I have been lusting after their stacks of acrylic make up draws that always look both stylish and tidy. And FINALLY I have some! I only got the 2 draws which are fairly deep, and the brushes pots to begin with as I didn't want to overload getting too many. However, once pay day comes around I am definitely investing in some more of these. With the 2 draw set being only £11.99 from Hong Kong and coming within 2 weeks, and the brushes pots being £7.99 they are 100% worth the buy!

I absolutely love Aveda hair products due their all natural ingredients, making them perfect for hair care. This little set of 3 were a present from my boyfriends Mum who works in a salon and I am so excited to try them out!

What beauty blogger doesn't love a good Lush haul? Due to having quite big lips, they get extremely dry and flaky in the winter months and I have always used the bubblegum lip scrub from Lush. I decided it was about time to try a new one and this popcorn one is perfect, not only does the job but tastes delicious when you eat it after applying! The tea tree toner water and ocean salt face and body scrub, are new tries for me so I'll fill you in on what these are like asap.

My favourite product ever. So, I know many people favour the Origins moisturiser, however due to my extra sensitive skin I always find it difficult to use moisturisers that other people can wear. The minute I tried this Clarins moisturiser cream about 2 years ago, I was hooked and have never bought another since. I have tried many in the past years, but none have done the job like this. It is fairly pricey, about £20 per pot however a little goes a long way, making it worth the money.

Body shop always pull their finger out at Christmas time, making lovely gift sets which you can buy anyone from your little sister to your friend, mum or grandma! This cranberry gift sets includes the shower gel, hand cream, body polish and their famous body butter. It also had a little pot of oil, however it isn't included in the picture as I managed to spill it everywhere before hand *oops*. As normal the body shop didn't disappoint and all these products are lovely and smell absolutely amazing.

Keeping up the body treats theme, these Sanctuary body butters are lovely. They come in this set of three, and all smell amazing. These creams are really nourishing on your skin and make you feel lovely and smooth, without it feeling cakey.

I have heard a lot about Cowshed products over the past few months and have been dying to try some out. Luckily for me, a family friend gave me this lovely present for Christmas, a gift set of a bath and shower gel, soap and body lotion. I love the packaging of this product, and with these products smelling of lavender I can not wait to try them out.

This book has been on my wish list on Amazon for as long as I can remember but have never made the decision to buy it for myself. However, when I opened it on Christmas morning from my Mum and Dad I was so excited - Unless you are a beauty fanatic, you won't get the excitement of such a thing- . The book focusses on the best ways, tips and techniques to apply your make up to get certain looks and gives help to beginners but also gives tips to people who know the make-up world well.

Last but not least, what's Christmas without some Christmas candles? I am a sucker for Yankee Candle, admittedly I would love more than anything to get my hands on a Jo Malone candle, but unfortunately I am still on the budget of a student so that will not allow for a £50 candle. My boyfriend bought me these three Christmas candles and they are amazing! The Christmas cookie makes you want to eat it as soon as you get a whiff, and the snowflake cookie is just as nice. As the marshmallow still has the wrapping on, you can't smell it that strongly through it.
